Your Friendly Neighbourhood Apple Assistant
Hi, I'm James. I am not an app, nor a chatbot, or a call centre script — I'm a real person, with human intelligence, who comes to you at your home or office, sits down with your actual Apple devices in hand, and helps you sort out whatever's going wrong. From there, I ensure your devices work best for your personal use requirements.
I offer my patient, hands-on Apple Assistant services, with education & coaching, in person, right here in Edinburgh, or remotely anywhere in the world via FaceTime screen sharing.
My Approach:
Education, Not Just a Quick Fix
I offer education and training, not just a repair. My goal isn't to fix your device and disappear — it's to leave you understanding what happened and feeling confident the next time something comes up. We work at your pace, on your own devices, in plain English — no jargon, no rushing, no making you feel silly for asking.
ADHD & Dyslexic clients are very welcome here.
I know that a lot of standard tech support assumes everyone processes instructions the same way, and that's just not true. I adjust how I explain things so they actually land — however you learn best.
My Background
I've spent 25 years in International Community Development leadership — from the wilds of the wilderness of the Yukon, in Canada, and globally — that work is all about patience, plain communication, and meeting people where they are, whatever their starting point. Long before that became my day job, I'd already been an Apple enthusiast since the early 2000s, and I still am. I am constantly testing, using, and living inside the Apple ecosystem, in both my personal life and my work, so what I teach you is current, not out of date.
